Hi,
I picked up a Hyperpixel from CPC a few weeks ago and fitted it to a new RPi3 running the latest image of Raspbian Stretch. After running the installer, it became apparent the screen was damaged, so I sent it back to CPC and had it swapped for another one.
In the meantime, I ended up reinstalling Stretch on the card so I could continue to use the Pi for another project while I waited for the replacement to arrive. I decided that instead of running the installer again on this installation and undoing the work I’d already done. I purchased an additional storage card and put Stretch on that, so could keep both projects separate.
Now the screen has arrived, I’ve installed the software from Github and then powered down and fitted the screen. This time, the HDMI output is still on, and other than a couple of flickers from the Hyperpixel, nothing appears on it. It seemed to me that install had somehow failed silently as the HDMI was still working. But the installer gives little away and there doesn’t appear to be much in the syslog.
Any ideas? It seems awfully bad luck to have had two faulty units.
