Hi all,

Simple requirements - I want to open a window based upon a room temperature.
Window mechanism is a rotating screw - with 10 turns to open and 10 turns to close
Would need something that has a bit of torque and low speed

I have a nest thermostat to reference temperature. This will determine when the window will be opened or shut.

All done over WIFI

Would you recommend a standard motor, or a step motor?
I'm thinking if its a step motor then i can set the opening incrementally

Or is there any kits out there that can be bought to accommodate the above?

Finally - may need to be controlled later by a control4 system but not straight away?

Thanks for your input
